Developing Leaders Biblical Theology - 4C logo

Our six-part Developing Leaders Workshop curriculum uses pictures and simple graphics to teach important biblical concepts. This curriculum covers all of the section in the Bible between Genesis and Revelation. It is designed to be easy-to-understand and easy-to-use. This means it can be used by pastors and leaders who have not been able to attend Bible school. But this doesn’t mean this curriculum is simplistic. It is intended to teach rich biblical theology. It is useful for all pastors and leaders.

Developing Leaders Workshop - The Law
 

The ancient Hebrew people arranged their Bibles in three sections: the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings. This curriculum follows the same arrangement. This section focuses on the Law: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. This section focuses on major events, characters, and themes in these five important books. It is critical for the preacher and teacher to know this section of the Bible well, because the rest of the books in the Bible frequently refer to things found in this section.

This section focuses on major events, characters, and themes in these books. All of the books in the Prophets draw a great deal of material from the Law. These books are a natural progression after the Law. This means they are the next logical step in the story of God’s people. These books prepare the reader for the Writings (the third section in the Old Testament). The Prophets are frequently quoted in the New Testament.

Careful attention is paid to the two main categories of letters in the New Testament: letters written by the apostle Paul and the "General Epistles" (James, First and Second Peter, First, Second, and Third John, and Jude). The notes outline how the letters are organized, features in the letters, and ways the letters should be used by churches today.

Apocalyptic literature does things which books of narrative (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts ) and letters (Romans through Jude) do not do. This sixth section begins with an explanation of how apocalyptic literature works and how the reader should approach it. The section ends with an overview of each chapter in Revelation.
