The Preacher in Ecclesiastes was not a pessimist. He was a realist and a godly sage. &#8216;The wise person has his eyes in his head&#8217; (2:14), and for this one, &#8216;Light is sweet&#8217; (11:7). If you feel weary and worn, dry and distant from God \u2026 if you feel burdened excessively by the cares of this world, pause today and pray that God will remind you of his past mercies in order to heighten your hope that he will act for you again.
