Therefore, as Christians await their future &#8220;inheritance that is imperishable and undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven,&#8221; they are to &#8220;rejoice with joy unspeakable and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of [their] faith\u2014salvation of souls ( 1 Pet 1:4, 9). And Christians &#8220;rejoice in hope&#8221; (Rom 12:12) and &#8220;Exult on the basis of the hope of the glory of God&#8221; (5:2).
