Insight from Psalms 40<\/p>\n
Psalm 40:4, in most English translations, celebrates the potential deeds of any person: \u201cBlessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!\u201d The [Hebrew text\u2019s verb forms used in verse four], however, signal this poem probably celebrates the blessedness of a specific man who trusted Yahweh and did not trust in a lie in the past. \u2026 The connection of the word [Blessed] to this particular man who resisted evil and did not turn to a lie strongly suggests this psalm refers to the eschatological age and to the man introduced in Ps 1:1.
