By means of the resurrected Jesus\u2019s appearing, a veil was lifted that now allowed Paul to read the old covenant materials with fresh eyes and in the way God originally intended, and in them he found a clear message of the suffering and triumphant Messiah and the mission he would spark. This Old Testament preacher could now assert, \u2018I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Chrsti and him crucified\u2019 (1 Cor. 2:2), for everything now bore connection with the cross.
