Uncleanness is best explained as that which is associated with the curse: chaos and disorder, death, and the murderous ways or judgment of the serpent. This makes cleanness associated with divinely created order and life. There are three types of uncleanness: (1) Tolerated or Ritual Uncleanness; (2) Prohibited or Moral Uncleanness; and (3) Unclean Food. Clean and common were the normal condition and state of people. Moral purity was symbolized in ritual cleanness and expressed in active covenant loyalty. There is both tolerated or ritual uncleanness as well as prohibited or moral uncleanness. The first is impurity brought about by certain natural functions of the body, most of which are necessary, routine, and unavoidable. Contact with death, scale disease (Lev. 13), or sexual discharge rendered on ritually impure. Prohibited or moral uncleanness is impurity incurred through a violation of God\u2019s law, whether unintentional or intentional disobedience or through a mismanagement of tolerated uncleanness.<\/p>\n
","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"give_campaign_id":0,"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_crdt_document":""},"class_list":["post-4607","reading-plan","type-reading-plan","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/reading-plan\/4607","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/reading-plan"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/reading-plan"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4607"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
