{"id":4598,"date":"2024-06-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/reading-plan\/june-14\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T15:51:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T20:51:20","slug":"june-14","status":"publish","type":"reading-plan","link":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/reading-plan\/june-14\/","title":{"rendered":"June 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insight from Acts\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the beginning of Acts 13, the Spirit has asked the church in Antioch to separate them for a mission for the purpose that the Spirit has, and they\u2019ve been sent out of Antioch as such. But they are speaking to Jews in the synagogue and about the work that God has done through Christ that began with the preaching of John the Baptist. And when the Jews reject Paul and Barnabas, Paul speaks about how they have been sent as light to the nations, which is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ref.ly\/Isa%2049.6;esv?t=biblia\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Isaiah 49:6<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in fulfillment. But that text, seen in Isaiah, is actually Messianic\u2014it applies to the Messiah, and yet for Saul and Barnabas, they are taking on that very identity and that very mission.
