In this, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paul is comparing his experience of persecution with Job\u2019s experience of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">physical suffering and loss. With full hope, Job anticipated that even death would not stop him from pleading his cause face-to-face before Yahweh and being saved. So, too, Paul declares, \u201cFor I know that . . . this will turn out for my deliverance,\u201d and then supplies the reason: \u201cas it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all be ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death\u201d (Phil. 1:19\u201320).
