God said that Abraham was such a prophet who would pray for Abimelech\u2019s life after he claimed Sarah (Gen. 20:7). Moses is the chief example of a prophetic intercessor, for he \u201cstood in the breach before [God], to turn away his wrath from destroying [Israel]\u201d (Ps. 106:23). Even when YHWH commanded him to not intercede (Ex. 32:9\u201310), Moses was unrelenting in his prophetic role (32:11\u201314), and the result was God\u2019s mercy (32:14; cf.
