{"id":4559,"date":"2024-04-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/reading-plan\/april-25\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T18:31:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T23:31:05","slug":"april-25","status":"publish","type":"reading-plan","link":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/reading-plan\/april-25\/","title":{"rendered":"April 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insight from John<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scripture\u2019s story indicates that Yahweh\u2019s ultimate goal through his kingdom program is to display himself as the supreme Savior, sovereign, and satisfier of the world, ultimately through his messianic representative. As such, the Bible tells <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the story of God\u2019s glory in Christ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. [The first part of this story is \u201cKickoff and Rebellion (Creation, Fall, and Flood.)] God the Creator deserves highest praise in the world. He created humans to image him and commissioned them to \u201cfill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion\u201d (Gen. 1:28). Humans were to reign over God\u2019s world as his vice regents, but they failed to honor God rightly and submitted to the authority of Satan, who in turn became the ruler of this world. Because in his rebellion Adam acted as a cove\u00adnantal head, God now counts all the rest of humanity as having sinned in Adam. From conception we are condemned sinners under God\u2019s just wrath (John 3:36), and the result is that all rebel and thus fall short of glorifying God.
