{"id":4474,"date":"2024-01-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/reading-plan\/january-15\/"},"modified":"2025-07-22T16:41:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T21:41:56","slug":"january-15","status":"publish","type":"reading-plan","link":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/reading-plan\/january-15\/","title":{"rendered":"January 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insight from Psalms 19:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psalm 19 \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 celebrates the words of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 demonstrates that God\u2019s words are not out of reach of humans. He has made himself known in the creation. He has also made himself known in the written word.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 demonstrates the attitude that the man or woman of God must have in regard to the word of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 is divided into three parts. Verses 1-6 describe the voice of God that is heard from his creation. Verses 7-11 describe the law of the Lord as it is seen in the Scriptures. Verses 12-14 are the prayer of the man who recognizes, loves, and desires to obey the voice of Yahweh. This person, like the \u201cBlessed Man\u201d in Psalm 1, delights in the law of Yahweh and meditates on it day and night. The Christ (and all those who are in him) is the person described in these verses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 is a fitting conclusion to Psalms 16-18. Like Psalms 8 and 15, Psalm 19 presents a view of a person who is free from sin and is living in perfect submission to the law of Yahweh. Because of the death and resurrection of the Christ (see Psalms 16-18), people are able to see God, love him, love his word, and obey him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 is quoted in the New Testament in Romans 10:18.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"give_campaign_id":0,"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_crdt_document":""},"class_list":["post-4474","reading-plan","type-reading-plan","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/reading-plan\/4474","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/reading-plan"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/reading-plan"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/handstotheplow.org\/am\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4474"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
